Are cars allowed on Kelley’s Island?

Yes cars can be brought over via the Kelley’s Island Ferry (Jet Express is passenger only). Keep in mind parking is at a premium especially in downtown Kelley’s. There is also bike and golf cart rental available. The ceremony and reception venues are about 5-10 minute walk from the ferry docks.

Can I stay on the island?

Yes, but options are more limited. There are only a few hotels on Kelley’s, but there are B&Bs and rental homes available*. If you really feel like roughing it, there are campsites on the northern coast of Kelley’s Island. There are many options for hotels on the Ohio mainland in Sandusky and Port Clinton. BE AWARE OF FERRY SCHEDULES!

How expensive is it to stay on/near the island?

As stated above, it can be as expensive or as cheap as you want! You can rent homes between $1,000-$5,000 per week, stay in a B&B or hotel between $75-$400/night, bring your boat and stay at a marina or pitch a tent at a campsite!

Looks like a cool place! Can I come for longer than the wedding?

YES! We are encouraging anyone/everyone to come up for as long as you want! Spend all seven days with us, or do your own thing!
